Art Deco
Aside from the obvious wikipedia entry, what can you tell me about the Art Deco style and movement? Can you post any pictures or examples of Art Deco that you particularly like?

My husband and I are big fans of Alphonse Mucha. He actually did mostly advertising work, but it was all absolutely glorious. We have several of his pieces either placketed or framed in our home (one of his Seasons series, and a huge framed gold-leafed ad for Moet & Chandon champagne.... this one, in fact.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphonse_Mucha is his Wikipedia entry (which has only 3 shitty clips of his work), but if you do an image search for Mucha, you can find tons of his stuff.

I was wrong... we have his Precious Stones and Flowers series. Oddly, the set Rob purchased is all shaded more in the reds and oranges than the set advertised here... ours may have faded out before we got around to hanging them, or they were bad prints. Still very, very pretty though.
